Spring fever has hit Tampa Bay early! It started out a little cool, but we had a little warm up and it put the fish on the flats, and oh boy, they are chewing. On a few of my last trips we’ve had 30+ snook days with a few redfish mixed in as well as some nice trout coming over the gunnel. March is a great month to fish the Tampa Bay / Tarpon Springs area for many reasons.

One, it’s not too hot out so you can enjoy a nice day on the water; and two, water temperatures are right where they need to be to keep the fish feeding most of the day. And three, who doesn’t just enjoy a day on the water during Spring?

’m going to keep this a short report for one reason, the bite’s just too good to be on the computer! Snook, Reds, Trout, and just in the past few days the Spanish Mackerel have started to show up.
If you’re heading down to Tampa Bay, Clearwater, or the Tarpon Springs area and are looking for a fun light tackle backcountry fishing adventure, give me a ring and we’ll get your fishing trip set up.

I look forward to your call.

Have a great day.
